Area Agency on Aging, 214 E. Center, Pocatello.  Investigates all reports of abuse, neglect, exploitation of "vulnerable adults" (age 18 and older).  In substantiated cases, a protective action plan is developed on behalf of the vulnerable adult to reduce risk in the least restrictive setting.  To report suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation, 24 hour service.

Lander open weekdays.  Offers free assistance for people 16 and older who are not in school and are performing below 12th grade graduation level in English, math, reading, English as a second language (ESL).  Provides preparation for the GED tests and High School Equivalency, as well as brush-up for college entrance.  Offers some internet and distance learning classes.  Operates outreach in seven counties of southeastern Idaho.

We use a variety of behavioral techniques to improve a child’s independence. Our programs include Intensive Behavioral Intervention (IBI), Psycho Social Rehab (PSR), Developmental Therapy (DT), Partial Care, Clinic Option Counseling and Service Coordination. All services covered by Medicaid, but private insurance is also accepted.

Aid for Friends provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, and supportive services to individuals and families facing homelessness.  Cash and other donations are accepted at 920 East Clark in Pocatello.
Emergency Shelter, 653 S. 4th, Pocatello.  The Shelter is open 5:30pm to 8:00am 7 days a week.  Single individuals and families are welcome.  Photo ID required for overnight stay.  Shower/laundry facilities and evening meals are available.

Information and Assistance is designed to link individuals needing assistance with the appropriate community and social service agencies.  The Ombudsman for the Elderly receives, investigates, mediates and attempts to resolve complaints pertaining to the health, safety, welfare and rights of individuals in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and long-term care settings.  An Ombudsman is an advocate and problem solver for individuals living in a facility setting.
Case Management is designed to locate and coordinate a variety of in-home and other services required by individuals at high risk of placement in a long-term care facility.

Bannock County Injury Prevention Coalition
Law Enforcement, transportation, public health, and concerned citizens have joined forces to reduce the incidence of unintentional injuries. The IdahoSTARS Child Care Resource and Referral Office serves as a resource center for child care providers offering child care information, books, videos, and equipment on loan. Our lending library hours are Monday morning from 8:30AM-12noon, and Friday afternoon from 1-4:30PM. Additional hours are available upon request. In addition, we provide information on child care provider licensing requirements, training and accreditation. Monthly Idaho Child Care Program (ICCP) orientations are given. The Compassionate Friends is a self-help organization offering friendship and understanding to bereaved parents who have experienced the grief of losing a child. They are a support group whose meetings are once a month. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Quail Ridge, 797 Hospital Way. They also send out a monthly newsletter to aid in dealing with the death of your child. Developmental Options is dedicated to supporting persons with developmental disabilities and their families in creating and maintaining residential, recreational, educational and other options. Programs are designed to support individuals in making choices allowing them to live as independently as possible. Programs include group homes, personal care, Residential Habilitation, case management, Service Coordination, Developmental Therapy.

Services offered are: Special supplemental nutrition program for women infants children (WIC), Home Health Nurse, School Health Nurse, Immunization Clinic, Communicable-Disease Control, Dental Health, Family Planning, STD (sexual transmitted diseases) testing and treatment, School Health, Infant/Toddler, Children's Special Health Program (CSHP), Screening of pre-school age children for disabilities, Prenatal Ancillary Care (PAC), Prenatal nursing and Nutrition Services. 
Environmental Health Services include:
water testing for wells, food safety and sanitation, lead awareness, and on-site sewage disposal system permits.

Women, Infants, Children WIC:
The WIC program is a supplemental food and nutrition education program for low income, nutritionally at-risk, pregnant, 
postpartum and breast feeding women, infants and children under five.

Immunization:
The immunization program provides a full range of immunization services for infants, children and adults.
School Health:
The school health programs focus on age-appropriate health education, and risk reduction services for students, faculty and staff. Key components of the school health program include scoliosis and vision screening, maturation classes, and other health and safety programs.
Tobacco Cessation Services:
One-on-one tobacco cessation and/or group counseling available free of charge. Please call 478-6303.
Infant/Toddler: 
The Infant Toddler program provides early intervention services including: screening, assessment, referral, and case management for eligible children 0-3 years of age. 
Family Planning: 
The family planning program provides clinical examination and education to women and men who request birth control information. Family planning services promote positive health behaviors, as well as pregnancy and STD (sexually transmitted diseases) prevention. 
Prenatal Ancillary Care PAC:
PAC services are provided to pregnant women. Services include nursing and nutritionist prenatal education and case management services for at-risk, low-income pregnant women.
STD and Communicable Disease Programs:
The STD and Communicable Disease Programs provide confidential testing, investigation, treatment and education to individuals who are affected by the diseases, or who have concerns about the nature of communicable disease.
